Refreshing The Vision
Open Course

“Without vision the people perish”  So goes the old saying. If you lead people – or even want to direct your own future – a vision is essential. You may have SMART objectives, but do you have a real gut feeling of where you are trying to go? Can you imagine and describe what you want the future to be like in ways that inspire others (and motivate yourself)?

Become clear about what you really want to achieve – for yourself, your team, your company – and know how to get there. The difference between SUCCESS and GETTING BY is having a clear, compelling vision.

Get control over the future
Create your own future
Get off the treadmill

Inspire others to follow

Do you sense that the future could be made better? Are you reacting to other people’s agendas, to demands of bureaucracy and feel that you really should plan ahead more? Is the annual business planning cycle an uninspiring paper exercise? If so, it is likely that you do not have a clear, compelling vision of what you want your future to be. Or perhaps you do have a dream but have yet to start achieving it. “Where do I start? How can I really expect to plan when everything around me is changing? And anyway, I don’t have time – there are too many distractions, too many urgent things to do.”

You need:

SPACE – a quiet, creative, healing space

TIME - focused, protected, away from work

HELP- guided processes, time line techniques, individual and group work

Who will benefit?

Anyone who wants to take control of their future. It will be especially useful to Directors, team leaders and managers who know that they need to be leaders.

SPACE

The course is held at St Mark’s College, Audley End a 17th Century cloistered building which was once a Benedictine Infirmary. This is not a typical training centre. It is a place imbued with peace and restoration. Allow the magic of the place to unlock your imagination and refresh your enthusiasm. Expand into it in companionship and solitude. (Audley End is close to the M11 between Cambridge and Stansted and is served by main line trains.)

TIME

2 full days residential with plenty of opportunity for creative reflection and targeted work. The workshop is limited to 8 participants to maximise the time available to all. Retreat from daily pressures and refresh yourself as well as your Vision

HELP

a structured programme, incorporating powerful time-line techniques and visualisation approaches, led by Chris Heath, ELMC’s Managing Partner.
